Synthesis of Mg–Zn–Ca–Mn biomaterials by mechanical alloying
摘要
In this work, two quaternary Mg–Zn–Ca–Mn alloys were synthesized using the powder metallurgy technique. The microstructure, the phases present and the morphology were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, the electrochemical tests were carried out in Hank's solution. Electrochemical experiments demonstrated that the two synthesized alloys exhibit a lower degradation rate and a higher corrosion potential compared to Mg. Indirect cytotoxicity tests using the MTT technique demonstrated that the alloys did not exhibit severe toxicity in fibroblast cells, could therefore be used as a temporary implant.
