摘要

The epoxy cold weld (ECW) is a two-component substance that works as a glue between two pieces of metal, when the two substances are mixed it activates the reaction that hardens the union, and this method is primarily used for repairs and adhering dissimilar materials. The Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs) are multiple concentric long-wrapped graphene sheets, emerging as additives due to their various properties and many advantages. This study analyzed an ECW doped with MWCNTs and the effect of corrosion on its resistance. The MWCNTs have outstanding strength, so they are expected to be reflected in the final mechanical properties of the composite. To conduct this study, ECW samples doped with different concentrations of MWCNTs were prepared and subjected to various levels and exposure times within the saline chamber. Trials of adhesion and hardness of the epoxy samples were performed to evaluate the microstructural and mechanical properties of the samples.
