Anomalous dielectric relaxation of TGS single crystals at low temperatures

To fill a gap of previous studies, the present work aims at clarifying the nature of dielectric relaxation process in a classical ferroelectric of triglycine sulfate (TGS) at low temperatures (68–270 K) in a frequency range of 1 Hz to 10 MHz. It was revealed that the well-known domain-wall freezing was not only detected on the temperature dependencies of dielectric permittivity as usual, but also on frequency dependencies of dielectric permittivity using Arrhenius and Vogel–Fulcher laws. Besides, the changes of structures and polarization switching at low temperatures will also be analyzed to explain the obtained results.
