摘要

Abstract

Asphalt performance can be enhanced through the incorporation of a diverse additives, such as SBS (Styrene–Butadiene–Styrene) and sargassum particles (SgP). This paper investigated the influence of SgP particles content (5phr) and SBS structure (low LSBS and high HSBS vinyl content) on the properties of SBS/SgP composite-modified asphalt at 3 wt%. SgP/SBS composite-modified asphalts were obtained by hot mixing process at high mixing speeds and were then subjected to conventional measurements namely dynamic viscosity and thermal storage tests. The presented results are the mean of the results obtained on two samples. The dynamic viscosity has established that the asphalt mixture with 3% of modifier H5-3 presents the greatest modification in the asphalt mixture influenced by the vinyl content in the SBS structure. Meanwhile, the composite HSBS/SgP showed better thermal storage stability, with respect to reference mix (H0-3).
