摘要

We used Generalized Linear Models (GLM) to maximize the remotion capacity of methylene blue (MB) dye on silica nanoparticles (Nps) surface under different conditions. Amorphous SiO2 Nps with 25 nm of particle size and 148 m2/g of specific surface area from calcination, chemical lixiviation, and mechanical grinding of rice husk (RH) were obtained. We evaluated the effect of different factors on MB remotion in an aqueous solution (35 ppm). The remotion percentage was nearly 100% for 30 min (exposition time), 60 mg (nanoparticles mass), and constant stirring. At fixed conditions, we determined the effect of the amount of Nps on MB remotion. Non-significant differences for 30–60 mg and 60–90 mg were observed. However, the remotion capacity of MB by the Nps with a mass between 30 and 90 mg was different. H2O2 and light inclusion in the experiments do not significantly improve the removal dye percentage.
