摘要

Fracture features reveal complete deformation history of a material. Quantitative evaluation of dimple morphologies on the reported tensile fractographs was employed to study the ductile fracture behavior of three different aluminum alloys with varying notch geometry. It is broadly observed that strength and ductility properties tend to correlate positively and inversely, with the average dimple size, respectively, w.r.t. notch root radius.
