<p>A super-drawing of natural rubber (NR) has been performed using strips of dried raw NR latex by the traditional "racking method." The changes observed in wide-angle X-ray diffraction and small-angle X-ray scattering patterns at around 0℃ and 40℃ corresponded to the two endothermic peaks identified through DSC measurements. The results revealed that the drawn sample displayed a shish-kebab structure, which has been documented in the extensive history of NR for the first time. Here, the "shish" and "kebab" structures are made up of the bundle-like extended-chain crystallites (ECC) and the folded-chain crystallites (FCC) epitaxially overgrown on the ECC.</p> Graphical Abstract <p></p>
