Time course change of proton exchange membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE) electric properties for hydrogen evolution with MnIrOx oxygen evolution catalyst
摘要
The catalysts of proton exchange membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE) are Pt/C for the cathode and IrO2 for the anode, although they will have a problem for material shortage in the future. The catalyst of MnIrOx is a good candidate for the oxygen evolution catalyst including stability, however, the durability related to the applied voltage is still obscure. In this study, the degradation depending on the low/high rectangular and steady applied voltages or steady applied current are discussed, and the voltage range for stable MnIrOx catalyst is almost clarified.
