Synthesis of spinel ferrites from cashew gum for microwave devices application
摘要
An eco-friendly sol–gel method was used to synthesize spinel nanoparticles (NPs) MxFeyO4, with M being cobalt (Co) or nickel (Ni), and the molar ratio of y/x varying between 1 and 2. These nanoparticles were intended for electromagnetic sensors. Characterization with X-ray diffraction (XRD) with Rietveld refinements and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) with small-angle electron diffraction confirmed that all samples are single phase with a spinel structure and crystallite sizes ranging from 38.5 to 69.3 nm. Coplanar microwave sensors using these NPs involved vector analysis for measuring S-parameters.
