Electrochemical sensing of L-DOPA in the presence of uric acid using C60-TiO2 modified glassy carbon electrode
摘要
We report a novel electrochemical sensor C60-TiO2/GCE for the simultaneous determination of L-Dopa (LD), and Uric acid (UA)—overcoming the challenge of their overlapping oxidation potentials. The synergistic interaction between C60 and TiO2 enhanced electrocatalytic activity, enabling improved peak separation and sensitivity. The nanocomposite was fabricated via a simple drop-casting method, and effectively evaluated for the electrochemical detection of LD. The structural integrity and nanoscale morphology of the proposed sensor were verified by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. Operating in 0.1 M PBS at a pH 7.0, the sensor exhibited significant electrocatalytic activity, covering a linear range of 1–300 nM with LOD and LOQ as 6.38 nM and 21.26 nM. The applicability of the sensor was tested on biological samples with satisfactory results; moreover, it demonstrated outstanding sensitivity, reproducibility, and repeatability.
