摘要

Electronic textiles (e-textiles) will redefine the future of wearable technology by seamlessly embedding functionality into everyday garments. From health monitoring and communication to responsive fashion and personal expression, e-textiles promise a future where clothing is both interactive and intelligent. As textiles are already deeply integrated into daily life, they offer an ideal platform for wearable electronics. However, their complex three-dimensional structures pose unique challenges for integration. Most conventional electronic fabrication methods are optimized for flat, rigid substrates and do not readily translate to the flexible, porous, and dynamic nature of textiles. This review explores emerging fabrication strategies for e-fibers and e-textiles and highlights recent advances in material systems and textile-compatible processes. A central theme of this review is the textile-centric design approach, which leverages the inherent structural features of textiles not just as passive substrates but also as integral components of device functionality. While the diversity of textile structures and fabrication methods opens a wide landscape of opportunities, key challenges such as durability and sustainability remain.
