摘要

A new hydroxyapatite/polymer composite is developed by liquid crystal display (LCD) photo-curing 3D printing technology, which can be applied to intervertebral fusion cage. The effect of hydroxyapatite content on 3D printing process and performance of polymer composite-based intervertebral fusion cages is investigated. It is found that the compressive strength of intervertebral fusion cages is about 102 MPa (30-wt% hydroxyapatite), which is close to that of human cortical bone (110 MPa). In addition, the cell survival rate in the fusing device is over 80%, demonstrating good biocompatibility. And the fusing device can promote cell proliferation and has certain ability to promote bone growth. Compared to traditional preparation process of intervertebral fusion devices, LCD photocurable 3D printing resin-based intervertebral fusion devices have the advantages of low cost, simple process, and strong designability and have broad prospects in related fields.
