摘要

This research examines the increasing presence of gendered artificial intelligence (AI). Digital voice assistants, such as Siri (Apple), Alexa (Amazon), Cortana (Microsoft), Bixby (Samsung), and Google Assistant (Google), have become more prominent, serving as virtual companions. It raises important questions about the feminisation of technology and its societal impacts, including issues related to gender, economic exploitation, and perceptions of women. The widespread influence of technology has transformed societal norms and conditions, affecting personal interactions and behaviours. Women, in particular, have become both beneficiaries and victims of these developments. Technology impacts women by providing insights into digitalisation that have empowered and connected them; however, it has also contributed to mental health issues, social isolation, and unrealistic societal expectations. This study explores why women are more frequently depicted in digital subjugation than men. It also examines the economic motivations behind the feminisation of AI and how women are frequently portrayed in objectified roles within digital spaces, serving desires and fulfilling roles of servitude—a key critique in cyberfeminism. By analysing how these digital devices function, the research demonstrates how they are programmed to be compliant and to reflect broader patterns of gender inequality. The methodology includes a review of literature, case studies, and surveys. Highlighting this subject offers valuable insights into the delicate balance between digital literacy and social well-being. It also considers future directions for AI in relation to gender representation, aiming to foster inclusivity, equality, and the dismantling of outdated gender norms.
