Cyber threat intelligence: existing benefits and challenges for law firms and businesses

Globally, cyber threats have increased both in frequency and sophistication. For this reason, companies and law firms alike need to respond by gaining as much information as possible about threats and how they can adapt their response and detection tactics to create an effective and secure environment. Cyber threat intelligence (CTI) can be used by organizations to help security teams protect their networks against cyber-attacks. This study therefore aims to provide a more detailed understanding of what CTI is and highlight the value it can provide to an organization. It also identifies several issues and challenges related to data quality and the CTI sharing platform. The key contribution of this study is that it can help law firms and businesses improve their preparedness before adopting such a function and better understand the CTI approach in order to make informed decisions in this regard.
