摘要

Autonomous delivery robots are increasingly penetrating the parcel transportation business to make last mile logistics (LML) more efficient and sustainable. These robots are creating new forms of human-machine interaction, which, in addition to operational advantages, can also enhance the customer experience. At the same time, the development of decentralized data spaces with Gaia‑X in Europe is being advanced for sovereign data exchange and fair data competition in the mobility sector. Despite these promising developments and opportunities in the mobility field, transfer-oriented business models have so far been inadequately addressed for LML. This paper focuses on the consortium research project Gaia-X 4 ROMS and presents an innovative business model for novel autonomously navigating parcel stations (ANP) based on an interactive rendezvous principle. Using design thinking, the central components for an ANP-specific business model are identified and exemplarily designed in a business model canvas for fleet operators in the parcel and express logistics market. The designed ANP business model is subsequently transformed into recommendations for action for LML stakeholders, focusing on marketable ANP innovations while striving for high data sovereignty. Gaia‑X competencies, technological openness, trust and collaboration, as well as speed and continuity, are vital factors for the successful use of future federated data infrastructures and the targeted deployment of ANP in the field of LML.
