Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made significant progress recently, especially in the field of generative AI. This technology can create new content, such as texts and images, that is creative and original. This foundational article introduces the two terms “artificial intelligence” and “generative artificial intelligence”, presents three generative models, and addresses some of the challenges of generative AI from both technical and user perspectives.
