Ethische Aspekte beim Einsatz künstlicher Intelligenzen im Kontext des industriellen Wandels

This article examines the ethical implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) deployment in the industrial context, considering a constantly evolving industrial environment. The article is methodologically based on qualitative document analysis. 56 newspaper articles published between 1960 and 2023 were analyzed and coded using an inductively derived categorization system. This approach enabled the identification of societal attitudes, expectations, hopes, and concerns associated with AI.

The findings of the study highlight the key application areas of AI in the industrial context and identify specific ethical issues based on the narrative ethics approach. The central problem and research questions revolve around the significance and potential substitution of human labor by AI, questions of moral responsibility, regulatory approaches and associated challenges, as well as the need for digital skills in various forms.
