Is “green” ammonia a misnomer? Unpacking the green label from a food-water-energy nexus perspective in water-scarce regions
摘要
The term ‘green ammonia’ can be misleading. For fertilisers to merit a green label, the industry must adopt a planetary boundaries framework that includes reducing carbon emissions and circular management of nutrients. It should seek to achieve net reductions in reactive nitrogen and phosphorus fluxes to terrestrial and marine ecosystems.
