Background <p>Wearable technologies are increasingly used in digital health to monitor and support physical activity and health-related behaviors. However, evidence regarding the simultaneous associations of perception of use of wearable technological sports products with sports commitment and healthy life awareness remains limited. This study aimed to examine these associations and identify factors independently associated with perception of use of wearable technological sports products among individuals attending fitness centers.</p> Methods <p>This cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational study included 1,277 individuals attending fitness centers. Data were collected using a Personal Information Form, the Perception of Use of Wearable Technological Sports Products Scale, the Sports Commitment Scale, and the Healthy Life Awareness Scale. Descriptive statistics, independent-samples t tests, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis were performed.</p> Results <p>Perceptions of wearable technological sports products were positively associated with sports commitment and healthy life awareness. A moderate positive relationship was observed between sports commitment and healthy life awareness. The regression models were statistically significant, although the proportions of explained variance were modest. Regular exercise status, absence of a psychiatric diagnosis, and higher income were also associated with more positive perceptions of wearable technology use.</p> Conclusions <p>The findings indicate that perceptions of wearable technological sports products are associated with sports commitment and healthy life awareness. Wearable technologies may serve as complementary tools for supporting sustained participation in physical activity and health-oriented behaviors. From digital health and public health perspectives, understanding users’ perceptions of wearable technologies may inform interventions designed to promote physical activity and healthy living, particularly among recreationally active populations.</p> Clinical trial number <p>Not applicable.</p>
