Bibliometric-based analysis of obesity in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease trends and hotspots.
MethodsUsing the site’s comprehensive database of literature as a source, the citexs data analysis platform was used to analyze and collate the literature regarding the content of studies on obesity in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease published between October 2004 and October 2024 and to visualize and analyze the developmental trends and research hotspots in this field.
ResultsA total of 8,672 documents were retrieved, and from October 2004 to October 2024, there is an overall increasing trend in the number of research publications in this field, with the highest number of publications in the United States, Inserm as a highly productive research institution, the author with the highest number of outputs is Zobair M. Younossi, the Journal of Hepatology is the journal with the highest number of publications, non -alcoholic fatty liver disease, NAFLD, and metabolic syndrome, were the top 3 keyword hotspot frequencies, in addition, the hotspot word frequencies can be divided into 4 stages of change, and more importantly, the mechanism research focuses on genes such as INS, SLC17A5, and GPT. In addition, the top 3 hotspot disease word frequencies are Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, Obesity, and Fatty Liver.
ConclusionA systematic review analyses the dynamics and hotspots of research in this field, providing certain important reference values for subsequent research.
