Hypokalemic paralysis as presenting manifestation of systemic diseases: a case series

Hypokalemia is a common issue in clinical settings, often indicating underlying systemic conditions that require careful evaluation. This study presents three cases where hypokalemic paralysis served as the initial symptom of systemic diseases. Key evaluation methods included clinical history, physical examination focusing on volume status, and acid–base assessment. The cases highlight the diverse etiologies of hypokalemia, including primary hyperaldosteronism, Sjogren’s syndrome, and Crohn’s disease.
