Neuro-sarcoidosis with isolated optic neuropathy: unmasking the chameleon

Isolated optic nerve involvement is rare in sarcoidosis. We report three cases describing atypical clinical and radiological features of isolated optic nerve involvement in sarcoidosis to expand the spectrum of neuro-ophthalmic sarcoidosis. Bilateral optic neuritis, sudden vision loss, primary optic atrophy, long segment optic neuritis, and isolated intrao-orbital sarcoidosis are described as atypical features of optic nerve involvement in this case series.
