Gender flexible work arrangements: a global bibliometric analysis with a focus on Asian content
摘要
Recent research underscores the significance of gender within flexible work arrangements. Leveraging the Scopus database, our study conducts a global bibliometric analysis and an Asian content analysis on gender-related FWA. The BA highlights a predominant focus on Western countries in this field, while the Asian content analysis accentuates persistent gender disparities, particularly within patriarchal societies. Furthermore, we raise pertinent inquiries regarding the underrepresentation of studies on men. Grounded in Ecological Systems Theory, we propose a comprehensive conceptual framework for guiding future research endeavors. We hope it can help to address the issues identified in cultivating inclusive workplaces and formulating culturally sensitive flexible work arrangements policies.
