<p>Multifocal and multicentric glioblastoma (mGBM) present significant challenges for surgical resection and impact patient outcomes. Recent studies have shown a positive correlation between the extent of resection (EOR) and functional outcomes in mGBM cases. Techniques such as fluorescence-guided surgery (FGS) and targeted therapies that focus on tumor-associated macrophages and immune pathways may enhance both survival rates and quality of life for these patients. Additionally, maximizing the extent of resection, conducting intraoperative mapping, and implementing rehabilitation strategies can further improve functional outcomes. However, more research is necessary to develop tailored treatment strategies that optimize patient outcomes in mGBM.</p>
