<p>The incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) has reformed the conventional techniques and approaches in nutrition and healthcare, playing a vital role in several critical nutritional activities, including the generation of personalized diet plans, monitoring food safety, and supplement recommendations. Advanced AI models are most often utilized to predict, monitor, and suggest treatments for many diseases based on the vast database available. More importantly, the applications of such models in nutrition and healthcare are being extended to wearable devices and applications, tailored recipe formulation, personalized clinical decision assistance, behavioral coaching, and precision medicine. However, the interdisciplinary collaboration between computational models and nutrition-healthcare has to be explored for a more effortless and convenient way to holistic wellness, raising the need to discuss the role of AI in nutrition and healthcare in detail. Considering the existing gap and recent findings, this review highlights the importance and application of AI in the nutrition and healthcare industry through advanced AI algorithms and the futuristic promising impacts of AI in transforming these crucial disciplines.</p>
