<p>This research examines the factors driving increased fast food consumption among university students using a sample of 300 students chosen through a two-stage sampling approach. The Pearson chi-square test shows significant associations with gender, happiness, taste, and pricing. Logistic regression reveals young female students prefer fast food more than males. The model’s significance is confirmed by the Omnibus test (chi-square value of 34.091, <i>p</i>-value &lt; 0.05). Cox and Snell <i>R</i><sup>2</sup> and Nagelkerke <i>R</i><sup>2</sup> are 0.107 and 0.149, respectively. Students often turn to fast food to celebrate happiness (<i>p</i>-value = 0.000) or alleviate boredom (<i>p</i>-value = 0.042). The appeal of tasty food (<i>p</i>-value = 0.00) and affordability (<i>p</i>-value = 0.001) also influence choices. A diet awareness campaign is recommended to educate students on fast food’s ingredients and health impacts.</p>
