摘要

This study investigates Indonesian maritime students’ expectations and willingness to adopt ICT-integrated textbooks, addressing the limited interactivity and outdated nature of conventional Maritime English materials. As maritime education undergoes rapid digitalization, understanding learners’ needs is essential to ensure that instructional resources align with industry demands. A total of 250 maritime students completed a survey using a 5-point Likert scale covering four areas: expectations of Maritime English learning, ICT-integrated textbook development, perceived benefits, and willingness to adopt such resources. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25 and path analysis. Results indicate that students’ learning needs significantly influence their expectations for ICT-based materials, which in turn positively affect perceived benefits and willingness to adopt them. These findings highlight an urgent need to modernize Maritime English materials and demonstrate that ICT-integrated textbooks can support students’ preparedness for the digitalized maritime industry.
