摘要

Mg-/Fe-based magnetic nanosheets (MMNs) were synthesized in 1 min using a simple molten salt method, which then could be employed for the effective removal of organic dyes from aqueous solutions. The MMNs displayed positive surface charges in all pH ranges, facilitating excellent adsorption efficiency for anionic dyes such as methyl blue (MB) and Congo red (CR) via electrostatic interactions. Remarkably, the nanosheets exhibited extremely high adsorption capacities, with maximum values reaching 2041 mg g−1 for MB and 1000 mg g−1 for CR at 308 K. The MMNs demonstrated outstanding organic dye adsorption efficiency and recyclability, both in powder form and when applied to a sponge using a simple dipping method. Additionally, the integration of Au nanoparticles into the MMN structure enabled the catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol to 4-aminophenol, achieving complete conversion within 10 min. Following the removal of organic contaminants, the MMNs could be retrieved effortlessly using an external magnet. The economical synthesis process and the versatile application of MMNs for organic contaminant remediation suggest significant potential for advancing wastewater treatment technologies.
