The innovation process: analysis of the particularities in the textile sector
摘要
Innovation in the textile sector is regarded as a crucial factor in addressing the specific challenges posed by a rapidly evolving global market. This entails the continuous enhancement of products and processes through interdisciplinary collaboration within the supply chain. The present study employs the PRISMA 2020 methodology to conduct a systematic review of the literature on the innovation process in the textile sector. This methodological approach ensures a comprehensive and objective analysis while minimizing potential biases. Contrary to previous studies that addressed innovation in textile production in isolation, such as digital transformation, sustainability, or organizational practices, this study proposes an original conceptual framework. This framework organizes the textile innovation process into four interconnected components: development and testing, collaboration, marketing, and monitoring. The components in question are influenced by technological advancements, prevailing market trends, and research and development initiatives focused on the development of products. The framework encapsulates the iterative and dynamic nature of innovation, providing practical guidance for its implementation in industry, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises. Nevertheless, obstacles such as resource limitations and resistance to change persist, underscoring the need for public policies that support innovation-friendly environments. To this end, it is imperative to fortify collaborative networks and implement targeted R&D incentives. These measures are instrumental in empowering textile firms to overcome the identified barriers, embrace emerging technologies, and align with the imperatives of sustainability and global competitiveness. The originality of this study lies in the formulation of a circular and interconnected conceptual framework that integrates technological, collaborative, and market dimensions. This framework provides a comprehensive and dynamic approach to understanding innovation in the textile sector, offering a novel contribution compared to previous linear or fragmented models.
