Objectives <p><i>Candida albicans</i> can become an opportunistic pathogen that causes several infections that can be fatal in immunocompromised patients. Factors contributing to <i>Candida’s</i> pathogenicity, including enzyme production, are crucial for tissue invasion and infection. The aim of this study was to investigate the genomic presence of secreted aspartyl proteinases (<i>SAP</i>) gene families and phospholipases B (<i>PLB</i>) genes in different genotypes of <i>C. albicans</i> species isolated from candidiasis patients and healthy people.</p> Results <p>In oral isolates, the predominant genotype was A (14/20, 70%). In the blood and vaginal isolates, genotype A (12/20, 60%) and genotype C (10/20, 50%) were predominant genotypes, respectively. There was a ubiquitous detection of <i>SAP1</i> and <i>SAP8</i> genes sequences (20/20, 100%) in oral isolates. Blood isolates exhibited a notable predominance of the <i>SAP4</i> gene (18/20, 90%). In all vaginal isolates, the <i>SAP2</i>, <i>SAP4</i>, and <i>SAP7</i> genes were presented (20/20, 100%). Additionally, the <i>PLB2</i> gene was detected in all blood and vaginal isolates (20/20, 100%), whereas the <i>PLB1</i> gene was predominantly identified in oral isolates (19/20, 95%).</p>

Objectives
