摘要

Background

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of kangoo jumps activity on energy expenditure in women participating in kangoo jumps activities.

Methods

Thirteen women participated in the study on the basis of voluntary participation. In line with the measurements made, a portable gas analyzer (Cortex Metamax 3B) was used to reach the findings (MET, HR (min), VO2 (L/min), VO2/kg (ml/min/kg), RER, VE (L/min), FAT (g/h), VCO2 (L/min)). The values of the music used at 103 bpm (Phase 1) and 128 bpm (Phase 2) were fixed with the help of sound engineers and music was used. In the statistical evaluation of the data, an independent sample t-test was used based on the phase variable and the significance level was accepted as (p≤0.05).

Result

As a result of the research, there were significant differences found between Phase 1 (aerobic) and Phase 2 (anaerobic) according to MET (t(0.05) = -27.4; p < 0.05), HR (min) (t(0.05) = -21.0; p < 0.05), VO2 (L/min) (t(0.05) = -27.2; p < 0.05), VO2/kg (ml/min/kg) (t(0.05) = -27.4; p < 0.05), RER (t(0.05) = -23.7; p < 0.05), VE (L/min) (t(0.05) = -25.8; p < 0.05), FAT (g/h) (t(0.05) = -19.5; p < 0.05), and VCO2 (L/min) (t(0.05) = -25.8; p < 0.05) variables.

Conclusion

Kangoo jumps activity was evaluated as an activity whose intensity can be adjusted according to different physical fitness levels of many individuals and can meet their energy consumption needs.
