<p>The management of health infodemics in India is crucial to safeguard public health during health crises. The term "infodemic" refers to the overwhelming presence of information, including false and misleading content, which can exacerbate public health challenges. India's extensive digital landscape, with over 800 million internet users, amplifies the reach and speed of misinformation. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted widespread dissemination of unproven treatments, conspiracy theories, and vaccine misinformation. Similar infodemic situations have been observed during other disasters and outbreaks. To address this issue, a structured Health Infodemic Management System (HIMS) is needed. This system should include advanced algorithms and AI to monitor and analyze health-related information, authoritative sources like the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, public education initiatives, a robust legal and regulatory framework, and continuous research. By leveraging technology, fostering collaboration, and prioritizing public education, India can effectively manage health information and mitigate the adverse impacts of infodemics, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes and more informed public decision making.</p>
