Background <p>The treatment of breast cancer (BC) is facing great challenges. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has unique value in it, but the lack of appropriate disease models restricts its modernization. The emergence of organoids model provides a new opportunity to address this issue.</p> Main body <p>This article will comprehensively discuss the application status, research progress and future prospects of BC organoids in the field of TCM through five aspects: bibliometric analysis, overview of BC organoids, advantages of BC organoids from the perspective of TCM theory, application status and representative achievements of organoids in TCM and natural compounds research of BC, challenges and future prospects.</p> Conclusion <p>The BC organoids model provides a powerful and subversive technical platform for TCM research, which is expected to greatly promote the modernization, standardization and internationalization of TCM in the field of anti-tumor.</p>

Background
