Aim <p>The nursing process is a systematic and scientific problem solving method in determining the care needs of individuals and providing individualized care. This study was conducted to determine the effect of Taboo game on nursing students’ motivation and perception of nursing diagnoses.</p> Methods <p>This is a cluster-randomized controlled trial employing a parallel-group, pretest-posttest design. The total number of participants is 80. Data were collected with Sociodemographic Information Form, Instructional Materials Motivation Survey and Perception of Nursing Diagnoses Survey. ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT05756218, date of the registration: January, 2023.</p> Finding <p>The taboo game prepared for nursing diagnoses did not have a positive effect on students’ learning motivation, but it had a positive effect on their attitudes towards perception of nursing diagnoses.</p> Conclusion <p>It is recommended that other games similar to Taboo should be added to educational methods using gamification and experimental research should be conducted on these issues.</p>

Aim
