Objective <p>This present study aimed to evaluate the reliability, validity, and measurement invariance of the Cognitive and Affective Mindfulness Scale-Revised (CAMS-R) among nursing postgraduates, nursing interns, and registered nurses.</p> Method <p>A sample of 165 nursing postgraduates, 394 nursing interns, and 540 registered nurses completed the survey, using CAMS-R, Workplace Well-Being Scale (WWB), Occupational Disidentification Scale (QDS), Stigma Consciousness Questionnaire (SCQ) and Intent to Leave Scale (ILS). The collected data were used for item analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), correlation analysis, and measurement invariance testing and Cronbach’s α and McDonald’s ω coefficients were calculated.</p> Results <p>The Chinese version of the CAMS-R consisted of 10 items across three dimensions: acceptance, attention, and awareness. CFA results indicated that the fit indices of the bi-factor model were superior to those of other models. Additionally, the Cronbach’s α and McDonald’s ω coefficients of the overall CAMS-R scale and each dimension ranged from 0.73 to 0.84. Results of criterion validity testing showed that CAMS-R was significantly positively correlated with WWB and significantly negatively correlated with QDS, SCQ, and ILS. Meanwhile, the measurement invariance of CAMS-R in nursing postgraduates, nursing interns, and registered nurses was not established.</p> Conclusions <p>The Chinese version of the CAMS-R is a reliable and effective tool for assessing mindfulness among nursing postgraduates, nursing interns, and registered nurses; however, potential group differences should be interpreted with cautious clarification. The results of this study suggest that nursing educators can use the CAMS-R to examine the relationship between mindfulness and nurses’ occupational behavior and well-being, and evaluate the intervention effects of mindfulness.</p>
