Objectives <p>The aim of this study was to evaluate odontogenic cysts associated with impacted teeth and to examine which type of odontogenic cyst and anatomical region they most frequently involve.</p> Materials and methods <p>A total of 100 patients with impacted teeth associated with odontogenic cysts were included in this study. Patients were first grouped according to the type of odontogenic cyst in relation to age and gender. Subsequently, the presence of systemic diseases in relation to odontogenic cysts was evaluated. The impacted teeth associated with the cyst types were examined on panoramic radiographs and classified according to the jaw, anatomical localization, anterior/posterior position of the jaw, and proximity to adjacent anatomical structures. Normality of continuous variables was assessed using the Shapiro–Wilk test, and chi-square tests were applied for categorical variables. In addition, both cyst size and localization were considered in the proximity analysis to minimize bias and ensure standardization.</p> Results <p>The study included 100 patients aged between 9 and 76 years, of whom 67 were male and 33 were female. Systemic diseases were observed in 14 patients, while 86 patients had no systemic illnesses. Among the included patients, odontogenic cysts associated with impacted teeth were found in the mandibular posterior region in 74 patients, maxillary anterior region in 16, mandibular anterior region in 6, and maxillary posterior region in 4 patients.</p> Conclusion <p>Dentigerous cysts were the most common odontogenic cysts associated with impacted teeth. Odontogenic cysts related to impacted teeth were more frequently observed in males. The mandibular posterior region was the most commonly affected area.</p>

Objectives
