摘要

Crohn’s disease (CD) can affect the genitourinary tract in various ways, with acalculous hydronephrosis being a rare complication first described by Hyams in 1943 (Hyams et al. Am J Med. 95:257-9, 1943), and few pediatric cases have been published in the literature. We present the case of a 14-year-old patient with CD who developed bilateral acalculous hydronephrosis. The diagnosis was made through computed tomography (CT), and it was successfully managed with the placement of double-J catheters. This article highlights the importance of monitoring and timely treatment of genitourinary complications in CD.
