<p>Thoracoscopic sympathectomy can be used to treat primary hyperhidrosis (PH). Nonetheless, there is a paucity of literature addressing the postoperative complications associated with this procedure. We report a case of a 21-year-old male patient who developed prolonged bilateral pleural effusion after undergoing thoracoscopic sympathectomy for PH. This case aims to raise awareness of this rare complication and discuss effective management strategies for it.</p>
