Autoimmune nodopathy and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis mediated by anti-NF186 antibody: a case report and literature review
摘要
Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and autoimmune nodopathy (AN) exhibit specific associations with anti-NF186 antibodies, which may act as circulating factors contributing to the development of both conditions. However, these cases are very rare, and the underlying pathogenesis mechanisms remain unclear.
Case presentationHere, we report a 63-year-old male patient presented with concurrent FSGS and AN, tested positive for anti-NF186 antibodies. Following the administration of plasma exchange and corticosteroid therapy, both neuropathy and nephropathy exhibited significant improvement. He has achieved a favorable outcome following a seven-month of corticosteroid treatment.
ConclusionsThis case highlights that acute onset quadriparesis with respiratory involvement may be observed in concurrent AN and FSGS mediated by anti-NF186 antibodies, suggesting a close association of these symptoms.
