<p><i>Cysteiniphilum litorale</i> is a Gram-negative, non-motile, non-spore-forming bacterium. It is dependent on L-cysteine for growth. This report describes the case of a 46-year-old male who developed a severe soft-tissue infection after a sea-shrimp puncture injury to the finger, which was subsequently identified as <i>Cysteiniphilum litorale</i> infection. The patient’s clinical course, diagnosis, and treatment are discussed, along with an emphasis on the need for early identification and appropriate management of <i>Cysteiniphilum litorale</i> infections.</p>
