摘要

Logistics emissions data and reporting are vital for achieving transport emission reduction targets. However, there are still several challenges associated with the development of emissions reporting in logistics. Measures to solve the challenges are needed in order to reach the required state of emissions reporting and to achieve the overall benefits of reporting. The aim of this study is to identify the most significant challenges of logistics emissions reporting, find solutions to them, and discuss the ideal state of emissions reporting and its gained value. To reach the aims, an expert workshop was organized in Finland with the participation of various stakeholders. It was found that many of the identified challenges in logistics emissions reporting are strongly interconnected. The measures to address the challenges relate especially to guidelines, training, communication, digital tools and harmonisation of methods. Ideally, there would be a common way to collect and report emissions data, and the data would be reliable, comparable and widely used. Know-how and continuous learning are also important. The value of reporting inevitably arise, which is reflected in smooth processes and responsible operations.
