Preparation of Electrolyte from Recycled V2O5 for Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries and Evaluation of Its Application Potential
摘要
Abstract
The feasibility of using recycled V2O5 to prepare electrolyte for high-capacity batteries was investigated. A laboratory prototype of a single-cell membrane electrochemical unit was constructed for testing. The electrolyte oxidation degree during charge-discharge was measured using a UV-1280 spectrophotometer. Optimal current density parameters were determined under various operating conditions. Three hundred charge-discharge cycles were conducted, which determined the electrolyte’s operational stability, energy efficiency, and charging capacity.
