Mechanical Properties of Ti–18Zr–15Nb Alloy Subjected to HPT and Annealing under Different Conditions
摘要
Abstract
The effect of severe plastic deformation by high-pressure torsion (HPT SPD) and annealing on the structure and mechanical properties of a Ti–18Zr–15Nb (in at %) medical superelastic alloy is studied. As a result of HPT SPD, a nanostructured state of the β phase is formed in the alloy. Modes of annealing are found which provide the formation of a single-phase structure of the β phase with a small grain (2 μm) and increased strength properties.
