Abstract <p>On the basis of statistical and X-ray spectral microanalyses, the paper examines the issues of various relationships between the results of <i>KCV</i><sub>–60</sub> impact toughness for the entire period of 2020–2022, nonmetallic inclusions (NMI) in samples, and the chemical composition of low-alloy cast 20GL steel, obtained in electric arc furnaces and used for freight car bogies, in particular, for critical castings: side frame and spring beam.</p>
