摘要

Abstract

Analysis of swelling of large grain fuel with different additives and fission gas release from such fuel during power ramps was carried out. It was shown that the fuel swelling is a first-order phase transition in the supersaturated solid solution of vacancy-impurity complexes (Xe with vacancies) in uranium dioxide. Accelerated fuel swelling during power ramps is a case of thermokinetic effect occurring in supersaturated systems under heating/cooling.
