Mechanism of Nanoparticle Formation under Reduction of Oxygen-Containing Cobalt(II) Compounds with Hydrogen
摘要
Abstract—The mechanism of reduction of oxygen-containing cobalt compounds obtained by chemical dispersion is established. Cobalt nanopowders obtained by precipitation of cobalt hydroxide from a salt solution with alkali and subsequent reduction with hydrogen are studied. The results of thermogravimetric and X-ray diffraction analysis are reported, the morphology and dispersion of the synthesized particles are examined, and their magnetic properties are measured. A mechanism for reduction of the cobalt nanopowder is proposed.
