Influence of the Size of the Dispersed Particles on the Physical and Mechanical Properties of Composite Materials with an Optimal Type of Dispersed Structure Based on Linear Polyethylene

Abstract
The paper presents data on the complex of physical and mechanical characteristics of disperse-filled polymer composite materials (DFPCM) based on linear polyethylene of the Sabic 218BJ brand with solid particles of silicon dioxide with different particle diameters from 0.045 to 250 μm at constant value of the generalized and reduced parameters Θ ≈ 0.55 v/v and aav/d = 0.3 and optimal type of dispersed structure—medium-filled MFS-1 system. It has been established that, with the MFS-1 structure type, the strength and deformation properties of DFPCM are significantly influenced by the particle size of the dispersed phase.
