Effect of Shock Wave Treatment on Developing Structure and the Properties of Obtained Polytetrafluorethylene
摘要
Abstract
The results of studying the morphology, molecular structure, and thermal and strength properties of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) are given. The samples are obtained through the shock wave treatment (SWT) of the powder inside a cylindrical steel ampoule. It is shown that this type of high-energy exposure can be used to obtain compacted materials having different structural ordering. It is established that SWT brings about a change in thermal and mechanical parameters of PTFE.
