Abstract <p>In June 2024, for the first time in the city of Voronezh and Voronezh region (Russia), galls of the honeylocust podgall midge <i>Dasineura gleditchiae</i> (Osten Sacken, 1866) (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) were recorded on honey locust (<i>Gleditsia triacanthos</i> L.). When opening the galls, one to three larvae as well as empty pupal exuviae were found. Adults were reared from collected larvae and pupae in the laboratory. No parasites of the honeylocust podgall midge were found.</p>
