First Record of Pontederia crassipes Mart. from Voronezh Oblast

Abstract
Water hyacinth Pontederia crassipes Mart (Pontederiaceae) was recorded in 2023 from the Voronezh Reservoir (Voronezh oblast) for the first time. Data on the species distribution in Russia are summarized. Using water hyacinth as an example, it is shown that Internet search queries can be used as a method for evaluation of the regional risk level for monitoring of commercially available alien species spread.
